MILWAUKEE — Harley-Davidson Inc. said second-quarter earnings were $15.4 million, or 87 cents a share, up 57% from $9.8 million, or 57 cents a share, in the second quarter of 1989.
The company said its increase in revenues was due mostly to shipping 1,708 more motorcycles this quarter than the 1989 period.
