Barr Sues Tabloid: Roseanne Barr said Tuesday that she will file suit against the National Enquirer for libel, slander and possible copyright infringement. She claims that the Enquirer has harassed her since she rose to fame, running stories of drug addiction and family fights, publishing love letters she had planned to use in a book, following her while she’s in her car, and paying informants who work with her for tidbits of information. On the “Geraldo” show Tuesday, Enquirer staff members Brian Williams and Steve Coz said that Barr’s husband, Tom Arnold, was a paid informer before the couple were married. Barr said Arnold did receive checks, and called it “a huge mistake.”
