Ceiling Fan Recall: Builders Square is recalling 10,000 ceiling fans because of a defect that can cause the blades to separate from the motor while the fan is in use, said the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The voluntary recall involves eight models of 52-inch Bay Breeze ceiling fans distributed by Builders Square Inc. of San Antonio, Tex. The fans, sold with and without lights, were distributed nationwide from October, 1989, until two months ago. Consumers should stop using the fans and return them to any Builders Square store for a refund or call the company at (800) 634-5949.
