Nomads Beaten

The Salt Lake Sting shut out the San Diego Nomads, 2-0, in a Western Soccer League game Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Craig Huft scored the Sting’s first goal 43 minutes into the game. George Pastor followed up with a second goal before halftime on a penalty kick as the Sting improved to 12-7.

The Nomads (7-10) will return to Southwestern College to play the California Emperors Aug. 4.
