Michael Jackson’s Dad Goes on the Record: Joe Jackson, father of superstars Janet and Michael Jackson, is getting into the record business with his Jacksons Records label. The first artist signed to Jacksons Records, Mendy Lee, was a four-time winner and “Star Search” semi-finalist. Other performers releasing albums on the label include “Japanese soul singer” Mihoko and Bahamian performer Jay Mitchell.
