Soviet track stars Tamara Bykova and Larisa Nikitina have been suspended for using banned drugs at the Goodwill Games, according to Soviet officials.
Bykova, world champion in 1983 and Olympic bronze medalist in the high jump two years ago, was suspended until October after testing positive for the stimulant ephedrine.
Nikitina, a heptathlete who was the silver medalist at the 1987 world championships, was suspended until July 1992 after a test showed she had used amphetamines.
