State’s Report on Malathion

Little attention has been paid to the state funding of the Medfly spraying program for a group of corporate growers. Is it not the responsibility of the corporate farmers to protect their crops? Put another way, will the state pay to eradicate insect infestations in my home such as termites, ants, etc.? With the governor’s budget problems perhaps he should seek reimbursement from the growers for this costly and questionable program.
