Wednesday: Animators from around the world gather through Sunday at the Ottawa ’90 Animation Festival in Canada. The films submitted include entries from various Western countries as well as from the Soviet Union, China, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico and Iceland.
Friday: “Henry & June,” the first NC-17 rated film (meaning not for children under 17), opens. The movie is Philip Kaufman’s adaptation of Anais Nin’s account of her relationships with Henry Miller and his wife, June.
