Robert L. Evans has been appointed vice president for service and parts for Irvine-based Mazda Motor of America Inc., a new position created when the company’s service and parts functions were consolidated in a recent reorganization. Before joining Mazda, Evans was president of Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc., which provides warehousing, transportation and logistics information systems services to international companies.
