PREP ROUNDUP : No. 1 Corona del Mar Wins in Water Polo

Top-ranked Corona del Mar High School remained undefeated by beating third-ranked El Dorado, 10-4, in a nonleague water polo game Friday at Corona del Mar.
Ryan Weir had five goals, Ted Simpkins had three and Robbie Pike had nine saves for Corona del Mar (10-0).
In other nonleague games:
Laguna Hills 15, El Modena 4--Stuart Gilbert and brothers Chad and J.J. Carvin each had four goals to lead Laguna Hills (7-1).
Orange 10, Trabuco Hills 9--Jeremy Adams scored the winning goal from about seven meters out with 3:16 left to play to lead host Orange (8-10).
In Orange League water polo:
Brea-Olinda 16, Savanna 6--Scott Estrada, Kyle Kilpatrick and Chad Carlberg each had three goals at Brea-Olinda (13-4, 2-0).
Cerritos water polo tournament:
Cypress 10, Whittier 9 (OT)--John Lin scored with 2:13 left in sudden-death overtime to move Cypress (13-2) into the semifinals.
