Group Hosts Benefit Golf Tournament

A golf outing on Wednesday will begin two charity events by the Las Mariquitas Auxiliary of the San Pedro-Palos Verdes Assistance League.
All proceeds from the “Flights of Fancy” events will benefit the chapter’s philanthropies, including a dental center, a club for visually handicapped people and Operation School Bell, which provides new clothes for needy children.
The golf tournament will take place Wednesday at Los Verdes Golf Club, 7000 W. Los Verdes Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes. It will be followed by a cocktail and prize party. For information and reservations, call 541-6708. The cost is $80.
On Friday at 11 a.m., the group will host a luncheon and fashion show at Rolling Hills Country Club in Rolling Hills Estates. For information and reservations, call 373-5009. The cost is $40 per person.
