Gracie Schutt had 24 kills and teammate Kirsten Schimke had 23 as San Diego State defeated William & Mary, 12-15, 15-13, 15-7, 15-12, in front of 357 at SDSU’s Peterson Gym.
William & Mary fell to 13-4.
San Diego State (14-8, 1-2) plays its first Western Athletic Conference home game Thursday night (7:30) against Utah.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Karin Lindsay scored three goals--including two in the first two minutes--and added an assist as UC San Diego shut out Pomona Pitzer, 6-0.
Jaymie Bradford added two goals and one assist for UCSD (10-2-1). Pomona Pitzer fell to 7-5-1.
