Carlos Anderson; Founder of Restaurants

Carlos Anderson, founder of a group of popular restaurants in Mexico and the United States known generally as “Carlos ‘n Charlie’s,” has died in a plane crash in the remote mountains of Jalisco state in Mexico, it was learned Thursday.
Anderson, 55, board chairman of Grupo Anderson’s, died Sunday when his rented six-seat Cessna carrying four other people crashed during bad weather after takeoff from San Sebastian, about 400 miles northwest of Mexico City.
The pilot, the only survivor, reported the crash after walking to San Sebastian, the nearest town.
