A couple of comments on the American League playoffs:
1. You have to wonder how much of the Terry Cooney-Roger Clemens incident is the result of the umpires’ disgruntlement over the ever-increasing discrepancy between their salaries and those of the players.
2. Could someone please define Rickey Henderson’s strike zone?
