Crescenta Valley 27, Hoover 7--Jason Schwaiger scored three touchdowns for Crescenta Valley at Glendale High.
Schwaiger scored on runs of 11 and three yards, and quarterback Aaron Schaefer threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Ray Grijalva as Crescenta Valley (4-3, 1-1) took a 21-0 first-quarter lead.
Hoover (2-5, 0-2) scored its only touchdown with 36 seconds to play on a three-yard run by senior Ara Balkian.
