Glendale 49, Ventura 24--Bobby Webster rushed for 196 yards in 23 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead Glendale (4-2, 4-1) to victory at Larrabee Stadium in Ventura.

Glendale had 445 yards on the ground. Rafik Thorossian finished with 65 yards in nine carries and Wes Bender gained 99 yards in 13 tries.

Ventura quarterback Tim Albrent completed 15 of 26 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

Aaron Clark kicked a 35-yard field goal to put Ventura (0-6, 0-5) ahead, 3-0, with 12:46 left in the first quarter. But the lead was short-lived as Glendale quarterback Marco Arcipreste connected with Greg Thompsen on a 10-yard pass to give the Vaqueros a 7-3 advantage on the ensuing series.
