VENTURA : Planners OK Limits on New Housing
- Share via
The Ventura Planning Commission approved a plan Tuesday to limit new housing in the city to 185 units a year.
Until February, the city had been allocating about 450 units a year, said Everett Millais, community development director.
At that pace, however, the city’s population would have exceeded 102,000 well before the year 2000, as established in the General Plan.
The allocation program requires City Council approval before it takes effect.
