Santa Clara 27, Nordhoff 20--Defensive lineman Chuey Cabrera recovered a Nordhoff fumble on the Santa Clara 19-yard line with 1:29 left to preserve the Saints’ victory at Nordhoff.
Santa Clara (3-6, 2-2) took a 27-0 halftime lead behind Lloyd Mix touchdown runs of six, one, one and 18 yards. Mix, a tailback, gained 228 yards in 26 carries.
