Pac-10 Teams Seeking Own Bowl Bids

With the Pac-10’s Rose Bowl berth decided, several other teams in the league went about their business snaring bowl bids of their own Sunday. Contracts may not officially be signed until Nov. 24, but deals are in the works:
* Oregon (7-2) appears headed for the Freedom Bowl to face Colorado State.
* Arizona (6-3) is all but set for the Aloha Bowl.
* USC (6-2-1) had its Jan. 1 options virtually eliminated by the tie with Cal on Saturday and will probably settle for the Hancock Sun Bowl--against Michigan State.
* California (5-3-1) is apparently destined for the Copper Bowl to face Wyoming.
