Not a Woodland Nymph

Why didn’t you let Irene Lacher, author of “She Worship: Return of the Goddess,” (View section, Sept. 19), report on the Pierce College Harvest Moon Celebration? An informed and unbiased reporter would have provided us with information and pleasurable reading.

Instead, of course, we got sad, insensitive condescension peppered with sexism. I doubt an article of similar tone reporting on a Christian or Jewish service would have been allowed. How can a green blouse make a woman “seem a woodland nymph?”

There’s nothing wrong with looking at the lighter side of any religion, but ridicule is another matter. Bad reporting!
