A Tree Grows on Cable TV: The Discovery Channel has formed a partnership with Global ReLeaf, an educational campaign by the American Forestry Assn. Starting this week, by dialing (900) 740-TREE viewers can have a tree planted on public lands designated by the association. The call will cost $5, which is tax-deductible. The organization is leading a drive to plant 100 million trees across the country by 1992.
