Applications for a vacant seat on the city Planning Commission are available at the city clerk’s office, 1600 Huntington Drive. The deadline to submit completed applications is noon Wednesday, with interviews scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 11.
The commission, an advisory body to the City Council, is responsible for reviewing, developing and revising the city’s General Plan and making recommendations on land-use and zoning matters.
Meetings are at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. The person who fills the vacant seat will serve until Dec. 31, 1993, when former Commissioner Margaret Finlay’s term expires.
Finlay left the seat open when she was appointed to a vacant seat on the City Council.
