7 Youths Charged in Killing on Halloween

NEW YORK — Seven young men were charged with murder, assault and rioting in the beating death of a homeless man on Halloween night, prosecutors said Monday.
The group, wearing monster masks and wielding a meat cleaver, attacked and killed Carlos Melendez, 35, after he refused to give them money, officials said.
