LAS VEGAS — Smoke from an electrical room fire triggered alarms at the luxury Mirage Hotel, prompting dozens of guests to evacuate. There were no injuries.
Guests, many clad in pajamas, fled the second and third floors of the west wing of the 30-story hotel Thursday night as smoke drifted through hallways. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
About 35 Clark County firefighters extinguished the blaze at 9:30 p.m., 45 minutes after it began. The fire was confined by sprinklers to the power room on the mezzanine level, said hotel Chairman Steve Wynn.
