San Dimas : Trash Pickup Fees Rise

Beginning Jan. 1, residents will pay more for trash pickup and curbside recycling.
The City Council approved a request by San Dimas Disposal Co. for a hike in monthly rates from $10.30 to $11.14 per household.
In a letter to City Manager Robert L. Poff, the company cited cost-of-living increases, higher fuel prices, increased landfill costs, the addition of plastic to the recycling program and a decline in glass and newspaper prices as justifying the higher rates.
