It’s a Wonderful Scandal: What would George Bailey, the selfless banker played by Jimmy Stewart in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” think of Stewart portraying Charles Keating, the central figure in the savings-and-loan influence-peddling affair? Roll Call, a twice-a-week newspaper about Capitol Hill doings, has come up with a cast for a movie version of the Keating Five hearings that would also star Vincent Price as Sen. Alan Cranston (D-Calif.), Tom Cruise as Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Robert Duvall as Sen. Dennis DeConcini (D-Ariz.), William Shatner as Sen. Donald W. Riegle Jr. (D-Mich.) and Ed Harris as Sen. John Glenn (D-Ohio).
