New McDonnell Douglas Credit Pact: The St. Louis-based defense contractor said it has signed a new credit agreement with 21 banks, providing $750 million in credit. The agreement, which replaces a series of expired credit lines that provided $710 million in credit, reflects the banks’ confidence in the company, McDonnell officials said. The agreement is in addition to two other credit pacts negotiated earlier this year that provide $1.4 billion in credit. McDonnell is among the most heavily indebted firms in the aerospace industry.
