Arcadia : 45-Day Ban on Hill Building

The City Council adopted a 45-day moratorium on construction on undeveloped hillsides.
Unanimously approved Tuesday, the moratorium is effective immediately. The restricted area includes undeveloped land bounded on the south by Elkins Avenue and on the north, west and east by the city boundary.
During the 45 days, the Planning Department will develop specific guidelines on hillside development, said assistant planner Donna Butler.
