CNN Briefings: CNN on Wednesday televised live the first of what it said will be weekly U.S. military briefings for reporters who are in Saudi Arabia covering Operation Desert Shield. The briefings are being held in the Saudi capital Riyadh, said a CNN spokesman. The network’s reports are seen in 100 countries, including Iraq. Ground rules forbid the disclosure of exactly where in Riyadh the U.S. briefings are held.
