FILLMORE : Schools to Prepare Adults for GED Test

Beginning in January, adult education classes in Fillmore and Piru will expand to include preparation for the high school equivalency test, the program director said.
The new offering will complement English as a second language and courses that allow high school students who have fallen behind to make up credits needed for graduation.
Program Director Phil Catalano has told Fillmore Unified School District trustees that his office has received numerous requests for classes to help with the equivalency exam.
The high school equivalency test, known as the General Education Development Test, or GED, measures students’ skills in language, math, science and history.
