BOWL REPORT : ORANGE : Colorado Linebacker Pulls Hamstring
- Share via
Starting linebacker Terry Johnson became Colorado’s second victim of significant injury during workouts when he pulled a hamstring. If he can’t play against Notre Dame Tuesday night, sophomore Chad Brown would take his place. Brown had been the starter at the position before developing mononucleosis in early November.
On Sunday, wide receiver-kick returner Mike Pritchard broke a bone in his left hand. Pritchard, who averaged 20.5 yards every time he touched the ball this season, rejoined workouts and reported no problems, despite wearing a plastic cast.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Coach Lou Holtz said that quarterback Rick Mirer has a “tired” arm.
