Ventura Freeway Closures Scheduled

Construction will continue on the Ventura Freeway this weekend, forcing closure of some lanes and ramps in both directions, Caltrans officials said Friday.
From 11 p.m. Friday, to 9 a.m. Saturday, up to two eastbound lanes between Balboa Boulevard and Haskell Avenue and two eastbound lanes between Hayvenhurst and Haskell avenues will be closed. The eastbound Haskell Avenue off-ramp will also be closed.
From 11 p.m. Saturday, to 11 a.m. Sunday, up to three westbound lanes between Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard will be closed, as well as the westbound on-ramps at Woodman Avenue, Van Nuys Boulevard and Coldwater Canyon.
Motorists are advised to use Ventura Boulevard as an alternate route and to call the California Department of Transportation’s 24-hour, toll-free hot line--1-800-CALL VIP--for more information.
The construction is part of the Ventura Improvement Project (VIP), Caltrans’ $76-million project to widen and improve the Ventura Freeway between Agoura Hills and the Hollywood Freeway interchange.
