Center Offers Senior Citizens Free Tax Help

ORANGE — Senior citizens can get free help with their income taxes at the Orange Senior Center each Tuesday morning through April 9.
Trained volunteers from Tax Counseling for the Elderly, a program of the American Assn. of Retired Persons, will be on hand to assist people age 60 and older prepare federal and state income tax returns.
The volunteers, trained in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service and the Franchise Tax Board, must pass an IRS test to be certified.
While the volunteers can assist with basic tax forms and questions, individuals with more complicated questions are advised to seek the advice of a tax professional.
