Three men were arrested on suspicion of stealing a 12-pack of beer from a Ventura convenience store and cutting the clerk with a knife when he tried to stop them, police said Monday.
The men were each booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of robbery and held pending $20,000 bail. They are Sean A. Castillo, 22, Aaron C. Jenston, 20, and Thomas Manson, 18.
According to police, the suspects entered the Stop N’ Go Market at 3506 E. Main St. about 9:40 p.m. Sunday, allegedly took beer and fled.
When clerk Eric Olson, 18, tried to stop the men, he was cut on the arm, requiring stitches.
The men were later arrested at the beach near Dover Lane where police were called to investigate an unrelated incident.
