ALL ABOARD: Even before America West started a fare war (D2), John Wayne Airport was bucking the traveling trend. The Gulf War has cut into air traffic at home and abroad, but not locally. . . . A spokeswoman says traffic is up because “a new terminal building that’s 12 times the size of the old one” opened in September and the number of flights has increased.
