SPOKANE, Wash. — Terrell Lowery scored 26 points and Loyola Marymount beat Gonzaga, 91-79, Thursday night in a West Coast Conference game.
Lowery also had nine assists and seven rebounds for the Lions, who improved to 11-13 overall and 4-5 in the WCC. Gonzaga is 12-10 and 3-6.
Loyola led, 42-39, at halftime, but a 20-4 run at the start of the second half turned the game into a rout.
Loyola Coach Jay Hillock, who coached at Gonzaga for four seasons in the early 1980s, said:
“This was a great homecoming for me. We’re really starting to turn it up a couple of notches. We did a real good job controlling the tempo. We got contributions from everybody tonight, and that support play really makes a big difference down the stretch.”
