Series points leader Jean-Michel Bayle won the 20-lap main event in the Coors Light Challenge motocross competition at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium. It was Bayle’s third victory of the season and earned him $10,000. Rick Johnson, racing for the final time at San Diego, was eighth, his best finish of the year.
