UNLV Beats Santa Barbara, 98-71

Larry Johnson scored 27 points and Greg Anthony added 20 as top-ranked Nevada Las Vegas won its 32nd consecutive game over two seasons Thursday night, beating UC Santa Barbara, 98-71, in a Big West Conference game at Las Vegas.
The Rebels (21-0 overall, 12-0 Big West) never trailed but needed a second-half surge to put away the Gauchos (10-12, 5-8). UNLV went on a 19-3 run for a 76-48 lead with 10 minutes left.
Stacey Augmon added 18 points for UNLV. Lucius Davis scored 16 points for Santa Barbara.
UNLV guard Anderson Hunt missed the game with a sinus infection. Evric Gray replaced Hunt and scored 12 points.
