DEAD ZEPPELIN: Don’t worry--Jimmy Page and Jerry Garcia haven’t teamed up for a rock oldie’s tour. But a dozen celebrity deadheads, ranging from Lyle Lovett and Dwight Yoakam to Jane’s Addiction and Elvis Costello, have covered their favorite Grateful Dead songs for “Deadicated,” an upcoming Grateful Dead tribute album due out in April from Arista Records. Produced by Ralph Sall (with a portion of proceeds going to the Rain Forest Foundation), the record features such covers as Midnight Oil’s “Wharf Rat,” Los Lobos’ “Bertha,” Jane’s Addiction’s “Ripple,” Lyle Lovett’s “Friend of the Devil,” Dr. John’s “Deal,” the Cowboy Junkies’ “To Lay Me Down,” Elvis Costello’s “Ship of Fools,” Burning Spear’s “Estimated Prophet,” Dwight Yoakam’s “Truckin’,” Bruce Hornsby’s “Jack Straw” and Suzanne Vega’s “China Doll.”
