Carolco Talks to Potential Investors: Carolco Pictures confirmed that it is talking to possible investors. One is RCS Video, a division of Italy’s Fiat Group. Recent reports have said Carolco needs an emergency cash infusion. Daily Variety reported that Giovanni Agnelli, chairman of Fiat Group, was considering a $100-million to $200-million investment in the West Hollywood company. Sources said Carolco needs the money to produce its next two films, “Basic Instinct” and “Universal Soldier.” President Peter Hoffman denied that the company is short of cash.
