Ventura police officers searching an alleged parole violator’s car Tuesday found marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines and $30,000 cash, officials said.
The officers, along with authorities from the state Department of Corrections, had taken George Fletcher, 42, into custody on suspicion of violating his parole and were making a routine search of his home and vehicle when they made the discovery, Ventura Police Sgt. Bill Bogner said.
“We found more than a pound of marijuana, over two ounces of methamphetamines and slightly more than two ounces of cocaine, all of which has a street value of between $15,000 and $17,000,” Bogner said.
Fletcher has not been charged in connection with the find, Bogner said.
