California IN BRIEF : SAN RAFAEL : Plea Awaited in Brother’s Slaying

Jim Mitchell, indicted on charges of murdering Artie Mitchell, his brother and partner in pornography, was ordered to return to Marin County Superior Court in a week to enter a plea. The arraignment of Mitchell, 47, was continued to next Friday at the request of his attorney, Dennis Roberts. The indictment in the Feb. 27 shooting death of Artie Mitchell, 45, was handed up Thursday by the Marin County Grand Jury. Two days after the shooting at Artie Mitchell’s Corte Madera home, Jim Mitchell was arraigned in Municipal Court and pleaded not guilty.
