Safeguard Health Enterprises Inc.: The Anaheim-based dental-plan provider posted net income for 1990 of $1.4 million, contrasted with $3.1 million for 1989. Revenue declined 3%, to $60.1 million from $61.7 million. For the fourth quarter, net income fell to $138,000 from $708,000 for the year-earlier period. Revenue rose slightly, to $15.3 million from $15.2 million.
The company said net income declined primarily as a result of increased losses in its dental-office subsidiary and lower revenue in its dental plans.
