A 15-year-old boy walking along an Anaheim street with a friend was wounded in the shoulder Monday in what police described as a drive-by shooting.
The unidentified victim was listed in good condition at Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, Police Lt. Marc Hedgpeth said. The victim’s companion was not injured, police said.
The two boys were on Muller Street, walking in the direction of Gilbert East High School on Crescent Way, when a white Nissan approached them shortly after noon, Hedgpeth said.
“A male Hispanic shot the victim and then fled,” Hedgpeth said.
It was not known if the shooting was gang-related, police said.
