Stahl Speculation: Lesley Stahl is in Europe this week taping a story for “60 Minutes,” adding to the speculation that she is the top candidate to succeed Meredith Vieira on the long-running CBS news magazine next season. Vieira, who is pregnant and unable to commit to a full-time schedule for the upcoming season, was told last week by “60 Minutes” executive producer Don Hewitt that she wouldn’t be returning. Filling in for Stahl this Sunday as moderator on “Face the Nation” will be Bob Schieffer.
