Micropolis Files for Common Stock Offering

Micropolis Corp., a Chatsworth company that makes computer disk drives, said it filed a statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed offering of 2 million shares of common stock. Based on recent prices of Micropolis stock, which trades on NASDAQ’s National Market System, the offering would raise about $22 million.
Kidder, Peabody & Co. Inc. will manage the underwriting for the offering. Micropolis said proceeds from the offering would be used for general corporate purposes.
