About $45,000 worth of hair conditioner was stolen from the Clairol plant in Camarillo, authorities and the company said Monday.
The gate to the plant in the 1200 block of Flynn Road was cut and two 45-foot trailers containing the conditioner apparently were hooked up to trucks and hauled out, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Lazz said.
The trailers, which were loaded for delivery to a warehouse in Los Angeles, were each worth $10,000, company officials said.
The theft, which occurred during the weekend, was discovered when employees arrived at work Monday morning, Lazz said.
Lazz said detectives are investigating the matter but have no one in custody.
