GARDEN GROVE : Information Sought on Slain Transient
- Share via
Homicide detectives on Monday were searching for clues to the identity of a homeless man found slain Sunday at a local high school football stadium, and for information on his assailant.
The murdered transient, described as in his 30s, with shaggy brown hair, a beard and filthy clothing, was discovered under the stadium’s bleachers Sunday morning by members of a softball team. He had no wallet or other means of identification, Detective Dave Dierking said.
“He’s still a John Doe,” Dierking said Monday. “He carried no (identification) that we are aware of. And no one’s come forward.”
Witnesses to the crime and those with information on the victim’s identity are asked to call the Garden Grove Police Department at (714) 741-5705.
