Driving in the car-pool lanes of Orange County entails more than just having more than one person in the car and not crossing over the double line. In fact, last year neither one of those offenses was the top ticketed offense by car-pool lane users. Rather, speeding was by far the most likely single act to earn drivers a citation, followed by not wearing a seat belt. Here’s a list of the five most frequent reasons drivers were cited on county car-pool lanes last year:
