UCLA Student Films: Seven films by African American students and alumni of the UCLA department of film and television will be presented at a free “Retrospective: From the ‘70s to the ‘90s” April 8 at Melnitz Theater on campus. The filmmakers represented range from director Charles Burnett (whose credits include “To Sleep With Anger”) to emerging artists.
